The story of Barney’s began in 1985 as South Africa’s very first microbrewery at Gold Reef City, later relocating in 1991 to become Nelson Mandela Bay’s landmark beachfront pub and restaurant. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Barney’s brand is built on a simple, timeless formula: Good Food, Good Fun, and Great Value. The new River Club branch carries this same mantra forward to blend our legendary tavern warmth with the modern coastal lifestyle
